DIRECTIONS: From Eureka, drive south for about 64
miles on Hwy 101. Exit 642 toward Redway and merge right
onto Redwood Drive for 1.8 miles. Turn right onto Briceland
Road/Briceland Thorne Road for 5.1 miles. Veer left onto
Briceland Thorne Road for 6.4 miles. Continue straight at
Thorn Junction. You are now on Shelter Cove Road. Whitethorn
construction is .5 miles further down the road.
PROGRAM: Tour and discussion of the Whitethorn
Construction Company. This locally owned business mills and
sells native hardwood lumber and secondary products for
local homes and business, and supports the development of
other businesses the local hardwood industry by hosting
workshops and participates in the Sustainable Hardwood
