Shows give us the opportunity to engage the public.
They help us work toward our goal of fostering best
practices in woodworking including sustainable use of
wood and woodworking techniques that produce durable
objects of beauty and utility.
Humboldt Woodworking Society participates in three shows
annually; the Exhibition at WoodFair, the Holiday Gift
Gallery, and the April Show at Old Town Art Gallery. The
dates and locations for the shows are listed below.
Participation is open to members and non-members. Novice
woodworkers of all ages are particularly encouraged to
participate. The objective of these shows is to provide
educational experiences for woodworkers to learn how to
present their works to the public in both display and
sales contexts, and to educate the public about all
aspects of woodworking.
April Show NOTICE:
While the Humboldt Woodworking Society is still
committed to offering an April show of fine woodworking
each year, due to circumstances having more to do with
the economy than with woodworking, we have decided to
cancel the show for 2011.

Holiday Gift Gallery at Almquist Lumber Company
(5301 Boyd Road, Arcata, CA). Opening is held the second
Sunday in November from 1-4:30 pm, and the show
continues until New Year’s Day. To learn more about the
